I’m taking part in RBC Run for the Kids to support youth mental health services at Sunnybrook, including the Family Navigation Project

I believe that raising awareness for mental health issues among youth is one of the most important causes facing our society today. With the increasing prevalence of mental illness it is critical that our society keeps pace and alters the way that it looks at these issues so that young people are not afraid to come forward and seek help. With the great steps forward that researchers have made in terms of understanding these illnesses, once the problem is addressed, much can be done in terms of treatment and support.

Youth mental health and Sunnybrook Hospital are both causes that I feel strongly about and I hope that you will join me in supporting RBC's Run for the Kids by either participating in the 5km Family Fun Run or by sponsoring my fundraising effort.
