Hello Everyone, and welcome to my Team in Training Home Page!

I have been so completely and totally overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for me and my family as I undertake this challenge. I cannot put into words how much it means to us; thank you.

For those who do not know our story:

In March of 2013, out of nowhere, my 20 year old brother Ramsey was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and our world was turned upside down. It was a grueling year for all of us, but most of all for Ramsey, who underwent numerous painful and complex treatments, only to be told that his subtype of Leukemia was destined to come back if left untreated.

In October of 2013, Ramsey finally received his life-saving stem cell transplant thanks to the research being done on Haplo-Identical Stem Cell transplants at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. I was Ramsey's stem cell donor!! Today, well over 100 days post-transplant, Ramsey is "cancer-free" and recovering well. We are looking forward to a long and healthy future, free of this terrible disease!!

Anyone can run a marathon, but not just anyone can battle blood cancer. In some small way, I hope that the funds that I am able to raise through my participation with TNT will help someone else in their battle with cancer, and will move us closer to a world where no one else must fight a battle as tough as the one that my brother has fought.
