My Team Message
In 2005, Big Brother Andrew (or Andy) was matched with an eleven year old boy named Jordan. At the time, Jordan’s father hadn’t been around for the past while and needed a positive male role model in his life. Hanging out for a few hours each week has made a difference in both their lives.

“I’ve gained more confidence because of Andy,” says Jordan. “It was really cool to know that adults have fears too. Big Brothers Big Sisters gave us tickets to go Zip Trekking together in Whistler one year. I remember being scared out of my mind and Andy was scared too – it was cool to know that we could conquer our fears together.”

Now seven years later and still great friends, there’s no doubt about it - Andy and Jordan encompass what the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are all about.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Sea to Sky Corridor matches girls and boys like Jordan with positive adult role models. All proceeds from The 2012 Scotiabank Wii Bowl for Big Brothers Big Sisters Classic will bring Big Brothers Big Sisters Sea to Sky Corridor one step closer to their goal of helping 150 at-risk kids this year.
