Welcome to my Team In Training home page. Once again I am training with with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as part of Team in Training. This is now my third event with Team in Training as we raise funds to find a cure for blood cancers.
Here are some facts about blood cancers:
38 Canadians a day are diagnosed with a blood cancer, or one person every thirty-seven and a half minutes
Leukemia remains a leading cause of cancer related death in children.
18 Canadians a day will die from blood cancer or one person every eighty minutes
There is no known cure!!!

75% of funds raised goes directly to patient care services and research.
Every dollar raised stays in Canada
Society funded research has directly contributed to many breakthrough cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, bone marrow and stem cell transplantation and new oral therapies such as Gleevec.
