The Salvation Army has been reaching out to Nova Scotians in need for over a century. In my home city of Halifax and in the many communities across Canada where I’ve lived and worked, the organization has been a constant touchstone in providing help to families and individuals who are struggling, no matter what their need or affiliation. No one is ever turned away. The Salvation Army is a pillar of our community. They are true heroes.
