I was a normal 17 year old girl when I lost my Grandpa, Hubert, to prostate cancer. I did not even know that he had cancer up until a year before he passed. My Grandpa was an amazing man. Always positive, slow to anger. He was a patient, giving, kind, smart man. I realize that most people will say that about their Grandpas, but for Hubert just stating this wouldn’t be enough. He was an amazing and unique son, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather.
My Grandpa once told his friend, in front of me, “Kieren can do things most others can’t.” Those were some of the last words that he said to me, and I will never forget them. I want to prove Grandpa right.
"I realize I can never give my Grandpa back, but I can give to all those grandpa’s out their that need just a little more time and hope. "
