HOOAH TAILS -

To Our Team and All Sponsors - About a year and a half ago, I began volunteering for the SPCA once or twice a month. It has truly been one of the most gratifying and enjoyable experiences - anyone who knows me well, knows it is something I am passionate about.

In terms of Hooah, as our company has grown and we have been blessed with more and more, we wanted to be able to share something with the organizations in our local community. This idea became the basis for our recent ornamental holiday card where we donated $5 to one of 3 non-profits when the recipient uploaded a photo of their hanging card.

And for 2011, our commitment is to become further involved as a company. Because I am familiar with the SPCA, their mission, and their struggle to stay operating, it was only natural that I chose to get Hooah involved with the Paws in the Park event. This year, our pack Hooah Tails, hopes to raise $1000.

Things you may be interested in knowing about the SPCA:
-They receive, on average 38, animals PER DAY.
-There is no time limit to how long a dog or cat will remain at the shelter.
-Many of the animals received are purebreds, puppies or kittens or well trained housebroken animals that were simply unwanted.
-Volunteers are primarily the only ones who show the animals for interested adopters and also the only ones who exercise and play with the animals. Otherwise these animals are confined to cages 24 hrs per day. That is the reality of life in a shelter. Consider becoming a volunteer today.
