As we have done for many years, the Vancouver Men’s Chorus will contribute to the 2010 AIDS Walk For Life by singing to walkers as they march by our assigned location on Sunday morning, September 19. In addition to cheering the walkers on with their inspirational songs, the Chorus is continuing a long-time practice of fielding an AIDS Walk fundraising team. We are proud to report that, last year, our team raised over $6,800 for the 2009 Walk – well in excess of our $4,890 total for the 2008 Walk. The men of the Chorus are pleased to do our part in supporting the thirteen charities who benefit from the donations made through the Walk. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the generous donors who made gifts through the VMC Team in the 2009 AIDS Walk so that the important work of a range of AIDS/HIV organizations can continue. We also hope that donors will be kind enough to support our team again in 2010.
