When I was in grade five I was diagnosed with Crohs's disease. I was given prednisone and I went from being the tallest kid in my class who weighed 80lbs to weighing 140lbs in 60 days. I spent months in Sick Kids, and the Peterborough hospital while the doctors tried to get my illness under control. I remember the people who did things to try and make things better for me. My mom who was always there, the DJ from a Toronto Radio station who brought me music CDs, the tons of cards from family members and the nurses who were so good to me. Every child has a wish to be healthy. Some children have reasons for much bigger wishes. This year, I want to make as many wishes as we can come true. Won't you help me?
