In 1998, at the age of 23 months my son Sam was diagnosed with Progeria. Six months later The Progeria Research Foundation began our quest to find the cause, treatment, and cure for Progeria. Since Sam's diagnosis, my wife Leslie, Sam and I have been on quite a journey. Today, 13 years after the creation of PRF, we remain steadfast and hopeful that, with your help, we will find the cure for Progeria. Now, more than ever, we are encouraged by our progress, including finding the gene that causes Progeria leading to two clinical drug trials (and hopefully another clinical trial soon). We have identified 90 children with Progeria worldwide and we’re working hard to find the other kids out there. We’re making so much progress, but need more funds to reach that ultimate goal of a cure.
