In April of 2011, my baby cousin Carly was diagnosed with Progeria. It is a rare, fatal disease of accelerated aging in children, who die of heart disease at an average age of 13 years.

Your support is needed now more than ever - 89 children with Progeria have been identified worldwide. The Progeria Research Foundation is planning the biggest, most expensive clinical drug trial yet! A drug has been found that can reduce the aging cells up to 50%. Can you imagine the impact this could have in a child like Carly? A child who every 6 minutes is an hour in her body and every 5 weeks is a year.
