Thank you for visiting Team Zoey's Fundraising Page and for supporting this year’s ONEpossible™ campaign. We believe that people, ONE at a time, can make the hope of a cure for Progeria POSSIBLE. As you know, my granddaughter, Zoey Penny, was born in September 2010, with Progeria, a rare, fatal disease of accelerated aging in children, and who die of heart disease at an average age of 13 years.

Your support is needed now more than ever . Zoey is one of only 89 children in the entire world known to have the disease- 17 in the US- and we’re working hard to find the other kids out there. But there is a tremendous need for more research into the cause and cure of progeria.We’ve doubled our research budget to bring in more high-level experts and get more studies going. And we are planning the biggest, most expensive clinical drug trial yet. We’re making much progress, but need more funds to reach that ultimate goal of a cure. And finding the cure will not only help Zoey, but will go a long way into solving the problems of adult heart disease, the leading cause of death in the general population.

We formed Team Zoey and created this web site in April ,2010, and since that time over 2000 people have made a donation, or participated in one of our fundraising events. Through bake sales, golf tournaments, swim a thins, fashion shows, turkey trots, concerts or dinners, individuals, ONE at a time, are making our goal of a cure Possible.
