Team Diabetes is the national activity fundraising program for the Canadian Diabetes Association. Team members promote a healthy lifestyle while raising vital funds in support of the more than 9 million Canadians living with diabetes or pre-diabetes. The funds raised help the Association deliver on its mission to lead the fight against diabetes by helping people with diabetes live healthy lives while we work to find a cure. My name is Daniel Caudle and i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes November 16, 2010.My grandfather Robert (Bob) passed away when i was three due to complications related to type 1 diabetes. I'm now 18 turning 19 in October and after learning more about my condition i've found friends and members of my community that share the fight against diabetes. It's my goal to run the full marathon to prove that i'm still able and to help raise awareness and funds about and for diabetes.
