Welcome to our second "Paws in the Park". Otis has come a long way since last year's walk: hiking in North Carolina, earning his "Canine Good Citizen" certification, boating on the Little River, and romping in the snow in Raleigh. We are regulars at the Winter Park farmers' market on weekends, walks around Lake Eola, and he's even been to several Ocoee High soccer games as an unofficial mascot. He has a couple more observations to pass and he'll have his Therapy Dog certification and we'll be able to visit hospitals, nursing homes and other schools. Who'd have thought?? I have to say that as he's a rescue dog, I can't imagine what his life -- or mine -- might have been were it not for groups like the SPCA.
