Hello Humans!
Help me "Lead The Charge" to find homes for Pets at Risk!
As many of you probably already know from reading my memoir:
"They Call Me Miss OLJS - From the streets to a forever home with treats." I am one of the fortunate ones who luckily triumphed against all odds. I say "lucky" because I was rescued from a terrible existence in a puppy mill and given a new leash on life in my forever home.
Many of my four-legged friends do not have the luxury of regular walks, cuddle time, exercise, or even food! The statistics are just staggering!
The SPCA has adopted out over 74,313 cats and dogs in the past sixteen years, finding loving permanent homes right here in Central Florida.
Come and join me on
Saturday, February 12th, 2011, from 9 am to noon at Lake Eola in beautiful downtown Orlando, Florida as we take a symbolic walk to support the SPCA of Central Florida in their goal to help thousands of pets in need. This year, I plan to exceed my personal goal in fundraising. Last year I personally raised $11,407.00 and this year I want to hit the
$15,407.00 mark! I figure if politicians can spend millions to run for office, then I, Miss Olive Louise Jenkins Smith, can do my part for a needy cause!
If you cannot join me at the walk, you can still support this great cause by donating right here on this page (and it's tax deductible!)
Join me on
Facebook!I really do hope that I get to meet you in person at the 17th Annual Paws in the Park walk for SPCA. The first 50 people get to pose with a photograph with me (sorry, I will not be signing autographs).
Sincerely,
Miss Olive Louise Jenkins Smith
