I am once again raising funds for our Women's National Field Hockey Team, as we continue our quest to play more international matches and qualify for the 2012 London Olympics. In our inaugural Breakthrough Fundraising Campaign last year, we were able to raise over $50 000 - an amazing feat, made possible by your generous support! The money we raised last year helped get us to South America where we played test matches against Chile and Argentina, in preparation for our World Cup Qualifying Tournament. While we didn't qualify for the World Cup this time around, we had some very strong performances there, and I think it's safe to say we sent a message to all of the teams we played - we are a team on the verge of big things! This summer we were able to host test matches in Vancouver versus India and Chile, which gave us valuable experience in preparation for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India from October 2-14. It's hard to believe that so much time has flown by already this year - we are leaving for Delhi in 2 short weeks and we are all very excited to see how we match up against some of the top teams in the world!

This year we are raising money to help us play additional matches in preparation for the 2011 Pan American Games - our first opportunity to qualify for the 2012 Olympics. We have tentative test matches lined up in 2011 versus our Pan American rivals - Argentina, Chile, and the United States - and we are hoping you can help make these games a reality!
