My personal goal is $500 !!!! Help me get there....!!
50% of what we raise will be given to Wind Youth Services which is a youth homeless shelter right in our backyard: Sacramento, CA.
There, youths under 18 who are homeless not only have a place to sleep, but have meals, showers, and laundry as well. There they attend an accredited school whose goal is to get them back in the public school with other youths of their grade level. They have access to a recording studio, practical classes such as cooking, computer skills, employement assistance and many others. At Wind they make sure that everyone who comes there is given the proper time to evaluate their situation. Mentors help them with psychological issues, drug and alcohol abuse as well as why they are homeless. They not only get them off the street, but try to make sure they will stay off the street by helping them in the long run to get careers and jobs and the necessary resources to take care of themselves.

If we reach our goal of $5000 we can give Wind Youth Services $2500 which will go towards new staff and teachers to expand their learning facilities as well as necessary supplies for thier classes etc.
As you can see you money will be used for a very great cause and the simple truth is... Wind Youth Services and homeless youth everywhere need people like you who are willing to do what they can to help...
The other 35% will go to the National Campaign against Hunger and Homelessnes which needs the money to hire organizers and resources to coordinate events to bring services and funds to homeless people all throughout the nation. After all, none of this (the Hunger Clean-Up and the like) would possible without great coordinators !!
The remaining 15% will go to an International Fundraiser which will be used to fight hunger and homelessness all over the world...
