My Message
We are the Gordie's Angels, the First ever All Woman Team in the Scotiabank Hockey for Alzheimer's Tournament. Please help us to reach our goal of putting Alzheimer's on Ice!

Since joining this cause, we’ve learned quite a bit about the disease and its impact.

 About 70, 000 people live with dementia in BC.

 72% of people living with Alzheimer’s disease are women.

 70% of primary caregivers who access the Alzheimer Society of BC programs and services are women.

We’re also giving you stats of its impact to women because it is also part of the reason we are participating this year. Not only is being a direct descendent of someone with Alzheimer’s a risk factor but there are also increased odds for women in general. We have a unique opportunity to participate in this event as a group of women. In addition to exposing and educating our communities about this disease, this event teams up NHL Alumni with local players of diverse skill levels, ages and backgrounds.

As a hockey loving woman in Canada this is a rare opportunity – a dream come true to play with some of the NHL’s elite players and help to put Alzheimer’s on ice. We’re hoping to make this dream come true and you can help us move from dream to reality.

We can’t thank you enough for visiting this site and learning more about the cause and event. Any
contribution will help our team participate in this unique event. Thank you so much for your time and consideration; let’s put Alzheimer’s on ice together!
