Hi everyone!

I will be running this in memory of my dear friend Nick from high school who passed away from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He was a very special person and my little break dancing buddy! I will always hold a special place in my heart for him.

This is my 4th event with Team in Training. I completed 3 personally and mentored two teams for another. I am both excited and nervous for this upcoming event as it will be my first marathon since giving birth to my son Toby in May of 2013. My body is definitely going to have to lean to run long distances all over again!

As I will be doing the fun stuff completing lots and lots of kilometres on the pavement, I am asking for your help with the tough stuff: the financial side! I have committed to raising $1900 for this event and cannot do it without kind and generous people to sponsor me!

I have a unique idea for sponsorship! I will be auctioning off different areas of my body at different price points. Sponsors can choose which they would like and on race day I will write your name (or the name of a loved one) on the body part you purchase. On clothed body parts I will attach signs! I will also post lots of pictures so you can see for yourself! Then you can say you were the one responsible for getting my butt (or leg, or fingers and so on) across that finish line!

I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada’s Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I’m completing this event in honour of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
