A big thank you to all the family and friends who helped me raise over $3500 last year to support Greenhouse Scholars. This is my second year volunteering as a mentor for Greenhouse Scholar Vanessa, a sophomore at CU Boulder. I have seen from the inside out how Greenhouse Scholars is a powerful support system for first generation and under-resourced college students. Moreover, I can attest that your money is well spent, because I have seen with my own eyes where the money goes--it helps Greenhouse provide training for mentors, provide internship and networking opportunities for students, offer extra monetary awards to help students pay for travel to internships or other opportunities, provide annual summer symposiums where the Scholars connect and participate in focused training sessions and inspiring seminar sessions, and so much more! I look forward to cycling 100 miles in September in honor of your contributions. Every year I am in awe when I realize just how many good-hearted, generous people I have in my life. Thank you!
